Job description

Procurement Manger

A tier 1 design & build contractor providing Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) services for renewable energy projects across Australia are looking for a Procurement Manager. As part of the Procurement team, you will help turn a construction concept into a contract with suppliers and subcontractors and help them fulfil the design and construction of new solar and wind projects.

* Evaluate pre-qualification packages from subs and vendors, ensuring they meet our quality and safety standards, and owner requirements
* Request, receive, review, analyse, and qualify proposals from subcontractors and vendors
* Develop, negotiate and write contracts, scopes of work, and supply agreements
* Negotiate terms and conditions of contracts, including schedules and other key terms
* Draft change orders and variations during construction as required
* Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and subcontractors
* Create and improve procurement processes, working with the broader cross-functional team, to improve efficiency
Preferred Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in engineering
* 5 years'+ experiencing working at an EPC or construction company in engineering, procurement, estimating, project management, construction management ideally for a renewable energy company
Key Knowledge/Skills:
* Strong writing skills (technical or other writing experience)
* Understanding of the construction project management process
* Ability to gather information and confidently make decisions
* Construction scheduling knowledge
* Ability to read construction drawings and understand job specifications
